We were originally planning on getting a wider, rectangular sink so the sprayer hose would have lain flat against the back of the sink wall, but we changed to the narrow "D" sink (more counter space) however chose to keep the faucet order as intended, so the hose lays on the curve of the sink... But it does not bother us--it's not stiff so it's easy to clean around and the sink is very deep (almost 11" w/ undermounting).

The drawer under the dishdrawer is quite deep and I bought heavy duty full extension tracks so that it could hold pots and pans. We have two large pots/pans drawers and they hold more than we anticipated so we have not decided how best to utilize it just yet, thus the towels...

The granite is called Seafoam Green--it is gray, sage green, and brown with black specks here and there. We tried to go middle of the road in coloring, since we both wanted VERY different counters in the space...

The knife holder is a $5 IKEA purchase.

Mongon's Kitchen

Thought I'd add ours into the mix--we only have 7 ft across, but we took out a wall and the ceiling and focused on getting much-needed counterspace... The addition of skylights, and the single-pane glass door and window were to add light to a space that was originally very dark. The raising of the ceiling and the hanging pendants and skylights draw your eye up and let us put in tall cabinets without feeling claustrophobic. In this small space there are pots & pans drawers, small and tall pull-out pantries, spice drawers, pull out garbage bins, dog food storage, wine storage and a pull-out dishdrawer.

The kitchen is also our laundry room--last "pantry" on left houses our stackable washer/dryer and laundry products
